Role Summary
This position includes the responsibility for processing the payroll and administering the attendance tracking system for multiple sites..
Main Tasks
- Processes payroll by reviewing supporting documentation and keying data into computer system, including deductions, pay changes, garnishments, bonuses, year-end adjustments, etc.
- Receives, reconciles and transmits payroll from off-site locations.
- Provides on-going training and support to off-site staff responsible for local payroll processing.
- Establishes, maintains and continuously improves payroll verification processes.
- Researches and generates payroll related reports as requested and as required.
- Administers the attendance tracking system for multiple locations including reconciling and printing warning notices. Researches attendance point disputes and adjusts system as necessary.
- Responsible for all payroll recordkeeping, related forms and paperwork ensuring that information is maintained and stored according to legal requirements.
- Regularly updates ADP/HRIS data to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Computes pay according to company policy and records new or changed pay rates in payroll computer files and on wage history records.
- Works with Accounting on payroll reconciliation issues.
- Compiles and prepares other payroll data and/or deductions such as 401k, voluntary benefits, and child support payments.
- Administers company policies related to payroll and recommends changes to policy as necessary.
- Keeps informed of and communicates changes in government regulations affecting payroll. Recommends changes to company policy as necessary.
- Processes new hires payroll and benefit information within established timeframes. Refers incomplete new hire files back to responsible human resource recruiter.
- Provides customer service to ensure that employees understand their paychecks and to resolve payroll issues as they arise in a timely and professional manner.
- Acts as back up to HR Assistant for departmental support and benefits processing as necessary.
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record to ensure that payroll is processed on time.
- Performs all activities in a professional and positive manner.
- Has knowledge of and adheres to current Quality System requirements that relate to this job.

Experience
- 3 to 5 years experience in all HR topics required
- Qualification B.com & MBA
- Broad knowledge in diverse human resources disciplines such as payroll, benefits, admin, etc
- HRIS experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication
- Experience utilizing both automated payroll and timekeeping systems. Accounting coursework or experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proven accuracy and organizational skills required.
- Effective interpersonal skills to positively relate to employees at all levels within the organization.
