Main Tasks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mandatory Skills
• Participate in the operations and maintenance of enterprise network and security
infrastructure, including:
➢ Enterprise WAN
➢ LAN & WLAN
➢ IPsec VPN
➢ Data Center networks
➢ Firewall and security devices
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure networking concepts, including:
➢ Virtual Networks (VNet) and subnets
➢ Familiarity with Network Security Groups (NSGs)
➢ Basic Azure VPN Gateway tunnel status checks and troubleshooting
➢ Understanding of hybrid networking concepts (on-prem ↔ cloud integration).
• Perform installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of network and firewall devices.
• Execute patching, hotfixes, OS upgrades, and release management activities in line with
approved change processes.
• Perform lifecycle management of network devices, including hardware refresh and software
upgrades.
• Conduct regular network security checks, vulnerability assessments, and follow security best
practices.
• Support incident management, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and
escalation to L3 / cross-functional teams when required.
• Take end-to-end ownership of incident tickets and ensure resolution within defined SLAs.
• Follow industry best practices, operational procedures, and company security policies.
• Willingness to work across cross-functional platforms, supporting network, security, cloud,
and related infrastructure technologies.
• Willingness to work in a 24×7 operational environment, including rotational shifts.
Skills
Experience
Education and/or Work Experience in Years:
• Diploma / Graduation or B.E from reputed University or Institute.
• 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in networking, enterprise routing, network security, with
basic exposure to Azure cloud networking.
• Added advantage to know German language.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of
instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Taking ownership for Incident tickets and resolve within SLA.
• Knowledge of ITIL disciplines such as Incident, Problem and Change Management.
