Role Summary

The job incumbent performs and manages all the design & development activities within the Project /Workflow and ensures that the designed products meet the M+H standards and the customer specifications

Main Tasks

▪ Study and capture Customer Specific requiremnets (CSR) 
▪ Generate Design Specific Requirements (DSR) with support from Lead Engg / Team Leader 
▪ Responsible for preparing Technical calculations and Engineering Layouts. 
▪ Generate detailed 3D models and precise 2D technical drawings based on the finalized design 
concept, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability 
▪ Perform the `Project Maturity Confirmations` during all the project phases (FMEA, design 
concept release, CAD concept etc.) in cooperation with cross functional teams 
▪ Participate in the ´functional reviews´ within the product groups 
▪ Create Test Order, co-ordinate with the internal/external test labs for performing tests and 
prepare the test reports 
▪ Responsible for preparing and maintaining the technical documentation of the projects in CIM 
Database as per xSEP requiremnets. 
▪ Contribute to innovation ideas, continuous improvement ideas and support in implementing 
them 
▪ Support in DFMEA Moderation activities of Project 
▪ Support in engineering changes according to TCM process 
▪ Support in analysis of patents and contribute to work around solutions 
▪ Support in requalification topics to ensure the product quality 
▪ Support in preparing technical presentations for internal and external use 
▪ Support in Engineering & TS Audits

Experience

Qualification & Experience: 
▪ Bachelors/ Masters Degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering/ equivalent education from  
reputedd university/ institute 
▪ 3 – 5  years of relevant work experience  
▪ Experience in (automotive or similar) product development processes  
Skills & Competencies: 
▪ Know- how in customer processes and standards (APQP,….) 
▪ Knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g. TS16949 etc…) 
▪ Knowledge of filtration products as well as basics of filtration would be an added advantage 
▪ Proficient use of IT-tools (MS Office, CATIA V5, Solid Works, CIM DATABASE, SAP, CAD, …) 
▪ English language skills
