Role Summary

The MANN+HUMMEL Group is a leading global expert for filtration solutions and development partner and original equipment supplier to the international automotive and mechanical engineering industries. The group’s product portfolio includes air filter systems, intake manifold systems, liquid filter systems, cabin filters and plastic sound components (known as 'symposers'), as well as filter elements for vehicle servicing and repair. For general engineering, process engineering and industrial manufacturing sectors the company’s product range includes industrial filters, a series of products to reduce carbon emission levels in diesel engines, membrane filters for water filtration and filter systems.

This opportunity is for the IT Service Center-APAC for Global Application Development and Support in MANN AND HUMMEL FILTER PRIVATE LTD., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the MANN+HUMMEL GmbH, Germany. The team in our Service Center India works very closely with our German Central IT team for design, development and support of several different applications and tools.

Main Tasks

  • Installation, maintenance and support of our enterprise business applications
  • Migration of applications between different platforms, versions and locations
  • Management of DBMS software such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, mySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Adhere of IT operating processes
  • Support of our business in case of system failure according to our internal service level agreements via ServiceNow
  • Control and coordination of our external partners and service providers in case of failure or malfunction of an application
  • Creation and revision of documentation and troubleshooting guides
  • Analysis and evaluation of system, database and application logs
  • Determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA/plug-ins setup and workflows, identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests
  • Management and support of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence as an administrator
  • Working Knowledge about O365

We offer

  • 1 to 2+ years of professional experience in IT, ideally in IT Operations
  • Experience with the maintenance and operation of applications and databases
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of English language (B2) is obligatory
  • Knowledge of German language is an advantage
